’Rig Of The Year’

A classic example of a vintage Rolex with rare SF Drilling Co logo case-back for ‘Rig Of The Year’ issued in 1981.
Rolex were well known for commissioning watches for various military forces and select commercial companies around the world. The Oil Industry in particular having their various company logos added to the dials and case-backs throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
Often issued as awards for safety it is particularly rare to see ‘Rig Of The Year’ examples.
