BREITLING
UTI
Navitimer
806
An exceptionally rare example of a vintage 806 Navitimer with UTI ‘Double Signed’ dial and the first example of such a model to surface.
This transitional model was only produced for circa one year in 1963 and is the first time we see the now iconic Reverse Panda dial on an 806 Navitimer whilst still retaining the raised Gold wings logo and beaded bezel from the earlier ‘All Black’ dial models.
The piece we present here is made even rarer by the presence of the UTI logo on the dial, previously only seen on the pre 1962 ‘All Black’ Navitimers, making this one of the latest and only examples seen on a Reverse Panda dial.
UTI were a French watch brand who distributed and collaborated with Breitling in the late 1950s to early 1960s with their logo co-signed on Navitimer and AVI models from the period as well as their own UTI signed models often manufactured by Breitling.
LIP took over from UTI for distribution in France in the mid 1960s and whilst still rare the LIP logo is more commonly seen on double signed Reverse Panda dial 806 Navitimers.

This is a particularly rare early Navitimer viewed by ourselves and others in the vintage Breitling community as the ultimate vintage Navitimer (Save maybe a Valjoux)
The 1963 transitional draws on all the best features of Navitimers seen through the 1950’s and 60s. Aesthetically the Gold Applied wings logo, Beaded bezel and Reverse Panda dial combined with such a low production run makes it difficult to beat.
