An absolutely stunning 24 hour 809 Navitimer with beautiful gilt gloss black dial and particularly clean near mint sub dials and outer slide rule bezel. Made ever more so beautiful with Cream patina on the tritium markers and hands.
One of the best examples of this Cosmonaute variant we have ever had.
Sought after in this condition and rare to find.

Released in 1962 the Cosmonaute was developed by Breitling in collaboration with the Astronaut Scott Carpenter after he became fond of the Navitimer chronographs he had seen on the wrists of Air Force pilots and suggested modifications that could be applied to better suit Space travel for the NASA Mercury missions.
Hence the re-calibrated movement for 24 hour dial.
