TIN TIN
The Red and White Racing dial Speedmaster was originally designed to be launched as a collaborative Tin Tin edition with the outer track resembling the design of Tin Tin’s iconic rocket. Unfortunately a licensing agreement could not be reached with Hergé and the original prototype with Rocket on the dial remains un-seen in the Omega archives.
With a number of dials already produced Omega quietly released the watch as a Racing dial Moonwatch in 2013. Though it wasn’t long before the back story broke and the watch was affectionately named the Tin Tin.
Production is thought to be somewhere between 1000 and 2000 pieces, making the Tin Tin Speedmaster Moonwatch difficult to get hold of and an increasingly sought after piece.
